Hi, Everyone.
I contacted ISW in Los Angeles, Ca. I was asking for a small probe of the mid-grey Cavalry Twill (or elastisque) that Bob Blackman purchased years and years ago when he wanted to make the First-Contact-Uniforms. Even though I read somewhere, that allegedly they don't have it anymore, I thought to get something very close to the screen-used fabric. (I know that the fabric changed over the years of production, but the color was quite constant.)
THe 100% wool Gabardine as fine, but the grey Cavalry twill was way to bright and had a green-touch. The structure was great. But in the end, the color of the fabric that the German SF-tailor uses, is more similar to the original.
Has anyone bought fabrics from ISW ?
