Hey everybody I've been on the forums reading up...and thought I would actually post something. I was wondering about the starfleet tailor. Does anyone know the quality of her work, specifically the tos uniforms. Anyone who could tell me this would be a great help as I am looking for reasonably priced uniforms. Thanks in advance...

From what I've heard, the main complaint about her stuff is that the fabrics they use simply aren't accurate, and some of the details do seem a bit off.

CBJ is owned by a guy named Rich..Judy is just the seamstress...I've known a few people that have bought stuff from them and fabrics are wrong and the tailoring is good but once dry cleaned it looses structure..My friend ordered a FC jacket and the quilting on the jacket went to crap after cleaning...He was not happy...

I purchased a TOS tunic from him (via Costumes By Judy) about five years ago and had no problems. Besides the fact his "veluxe" was just regular old alpine fleece, I had nothing to whine about. The fit was fine and it looked good.
But now things seem to have gotten sloppy. In mid September I ordered a resin "Mirror, Mirror" dagger and the pin from him for a costume I am doing for a con in January. I sent him the money order and then a follow-up email a month later. Since then I have been getting the usual "I sent it", "I will look into it" that most frauds use to stall and hope you will tire of the chase and go away. And of course he can provide NO proof that he sent me the items. I have since gotten the pin from Katarra 8 and continue to try and find a dagger. Has anybody else dealt with Rich and how did things go? Is this out of character for him or has he "gone to the darkside" as some dealers tend to do over time? |

Well it seems Mr. Masters is now either a crook or a total dumbass. I last sent him an email in November and sent one today asking about my dagger and pin.
This is what I got:
"
It was sent and recieved fuck you and people like you trying to get free stuff like this you should be ashamed
Rich"
Of course this means war. This moron can't produce a delivery confirmation. I have no choice but to do the paper work, make sure the money order was cashed and then go after him for mail fraud. Amazing. He may have his life ruined over $60 freaking bucks. What an idiot. I hope he is not breeding. |
