The pattern Im using was created by Joseph Kerezman (aka JK Costuming), if thatll help you as far as what pattern Im attempting (I hope the following will make sense to you). I have finished step 6 in the instructions Take center backs (I) and sew them together along center seam. Fold under fold area and stitch or fuse under.

I have also finished step 7 Sew inside back panel (D) to back side (J). Sew backsides to center back.

This is where Im getting confused, because the instructions dont make sense to me provided what Ive done so far is correct. On the right-hand side of the piece in question is the folded under fold area alluded to in step 6 of the instructions. Is that the top or the bottom of the piece ?? If its the top, then whats the deal with those little tabs on the pattern ?? I also dont understand where I sew the backsides to center back as alluded to in step 7. The spandex panel piece (D) is shown on the left-hand side of Step 7.jpg. That leaves that *huge* gap showing on the right-hand side. What the heck is that ?? I am *thinking* that the side with the spandex panel goes at the top of the uniform, and is therefore attached to the division-coloured yokes (which actually makes sense, since those certainly appear to be arm holes on either side of the spandex).
Also, I was under the impression that this pattern was for the full jumpsuit meaning it also includes the legs. However, to look at it, Im fairly certain that there arent any legs included with this pattern. Am I correct in assuming this ?? And if thats the case, would a simple pair of black slacks be good enough to finish off the uniform, or am I going to need to try to find the mens pants pattern ??
I apologize if I sound like Im babbling here, but Im afraid Im getting a little desperate to get this finished we leave for Las Vegas in less than three weeks.
