The title under my name still just says "Moderator". I can move an already existing thread, but I'm not seeing controls that would let me create a new section in the Forum. Maybe only the Forum "Owner" can do that?

Damn. The title just changed after posting that. Now it says "Admin". Weird...
Still not showing any controls to add a section to the Forum, however. Shadow Dale Creations

Hey Kezler,Of course I'll be your friend.I'll be anyones friend at least twice.Wool Gabardine huh? Seems to be the material of choice at Paramount.Is that for the Admiral's dress uniform or all of them?The only reason I ask is I'm interested in the "duty uniform"that Kirk wore as Captain.The two piece uniform of course.I guess I'm not man enough to wear the skin tight jumpsuit.Back to the point.I found some good close up pics of a techs suit and if I can figure out how to post them I will.But the material looks like a stretchy polyester.It is only a picture and I am probably wrong but take a look.Also what do you know about weights being sewn in to the bottom of the tunic to make it hang right.I read that somewhere and thought it was strange.Peace J

Well... if you're looking for controls on the board like you see controls for a moderator to move topics and the like, you'll be looking a long time. No. Instead, go to your control center, then click on the tab at the top that says community. That should then give you control over the board.

Hi Ceti;
Which uniform are you referring to as Kirk's Duty Uniform? The two-piece long sleeve gray (Class A) or the short sleeve two-piece (Class B)? The extra's jumpsuits were made out of spandex. But according to Bjo Trimble, who was an extra in the Rec Deck scene, the Principle actor's jumpsuits were wool gabardine (e.g. Decker's). You know, we CAN make ourselves the jumpsuit, just wear the Exploration Jacket over them! Like in the movie. Yes, there are weights in the hem of the two-piece tunics! They are sewn in the middle of the vertical seam and look like washers! I think I have pics showing that too! The tunics are fully lined in a light-weight white polyester lining. If you look at the close up pics of Rand's Leisure uniform, currently on Ebay, you can clearly see it is wool gabardine too! |

Hi right back atcha.The longsleeve gray is the one I'm. talking about.Although the short sleeve version was pretty cool too.The expedition jacket would rock.I really wish I could post these pics.I'm pretty sure you saw them.As it too was an ebay auction.A lining too huh.I'd realy love to see one of these uniforms up close.Much more work involved than TOS tunic.What would the colour gray is correct.Also I have found a site that sells all types of Sci-fi uniforms props etc.(Including TWOK Field jacket,Sweet)It's Starrfortress productions I believe.They have no pictures posted showing product(kind of shady but not totally)Have you heard of or had any dealings with these guys?Any help on posing pics would be cool too.I'm serious,technology eludes me.I still use a record player.You know for the big black CDs.HaHa.Peace J

Ceti, you crack me up!!!
I would love to see the looks on their faces if we show up in uniform and tell them we are looking for V'ger!!! I like the way you think! Perhaps you could email the pics to Tony (Phaser001) and he could post them?? He's a pretty nice guy! |

Thanks MGM! I just realized I neglected to address that question for Ceti.
I have heard nothing positive about Starfortress products, and the pictures I have seen make me cringe! |

From right clicking on the "red X" boxes in his post where the images should be, I think he merely set up the links incorrectly.

No, that's what the default url is when you don't put one.
So Ceti, the first thing you need to know when posting images is that the image has to already be on the internet hosted somewhere. You can't use an image on your hard drive. You either need to upload the image to online space you have, or, failing that, you need to email it to someone with space to host it. Only then will you have a URL that you can put here. C:/~.jpg = no www.~.jpg = yes These guys are usually willing to host images for you if they pertain to the board. |

MGM, Thanks for the heads up.That.s just wrong.I'd have felt horrible if I actually gave that creep any loot.Enough said.Hating to sound like an uninformed clod,what is a perscan that you wrote of? If you start offering TMP uniforms I'll be first second and third in line.(I'm really not that big I just need alot of gear)I'm quite sure I set something up wrong with my pics.But hopefully soon this will be rectified.Thanks again for the heads up.Peace J

The Perscan unit is the belt buckle of the TMP uniform. It was meant to be an all-purpose locator and biological monitoring unit. Something that's mentioned in the novelization and technical notes for the film.
