Posts: 22 01/17/09 00:42:20	Tags : None The tailor, Mr. Ossowski, got back to me with the prices. A First-Contact/Nemesis Jacket is 260 EUR. (At this price the jacket has a lining. He can make it without for a little less, but I don't recommend ordering a jacket WITHOUT lining). A complete FC/Nem Coverall is 340 EUR. A pair of black pants is 80 EUR. The Undershirt (Tunic) is 55 EUR. He will get back to me in the next days with a shipping price to the US. He accepts paypal. Last Edited By: hamburger123 01/17/09 13:11:37. Edited 1 time.

Posts: 27 01/28/09 12:22:41	Hi, Peter. I'm just translating a measuring-chart from german into english. Last time I talked to Mr. Ossowski was yesterday. He charges 50 % of the total, it takes about 3 months to make and after that he charges the remaining 50 %. I'll be back with updates and the measuring requirements (Height, circumferences etc.).

For tailoring a First Contact Jacket ,the tailor, Mr. Ossowski, requires the following measurements : Jacket: Height Necksize Chest Circumference Waist Circumference Hip Circumference Neck-to-shoulder end Sleeve-length Jacket-Length And especial for the Tunic: Shirt-length Sleeve-length (remember the sleeves of the jacket have to be about an inch or 1 1/2 shorter than the tunic sleeves) I further suggest the following specifications : Cuffs: 6cm (2 3/8 inches) Trim on yoke: 1cm (which is 10mm, 3/8 inches) waistband: 5cm (2 inches) REMEMBER THAT WE HAVE THE METRIC SYSTEM = 1 inch = 2,54 cm. (For example my necksize is 16 inches x 2.54 = approx. 41cm) Last time I talked to him he was still waiting for a reply from his fabric-supporter referring to the black gabardine-fabric. If you have any other questions, just ask. You can ofcourse email him, too. As I said, he will accept paypal and will take 50 % before making it and the other 50% when the Uniform/s are completed.

Then also some more details on the measurements: Sleeve-length - from where to where....I assume you dont want the sleeve length that one might purchase in a dress shirt, which is different then a measurement from tip of sholder to wrist. Jacket-Length - From where to where? Shirt-length From From where to where? And it sounds like all measurements are due in metric centimeter correct? Will there be an online form or how should we deliver measurements? Thanks for all the work. Peter

Jacket length from beginning neck to where you want to end it (me as a 5'10 178cm-height, I chose 64cm (25 inches), a little more than an US Army Ike-Jacket I have (Size 40). You should order INCLUDING WAISTBAND. Shirt length from beginning neck to where you want it. Should be at least 4-5 inches longer than the jacket.

Posts: 31 02/13/09 10:39:38	The material I bought for my jacket is a black gabardine 45%wool/55%polyester-blend. Has a nice feel and keeps moths away (at least they don't chew on poly-blends). I bought it from "karstadt", a shopping mall. They still have it, but it's quite expensive. I paid 45 EUR for 1.5 by 1.4 yards. Mr. Ossowski, the tailor, is still researching, whether one of his suppliers has a black gabardine fabric (remember, he is quite a busy man and makes not only Trek costumes). I think, it would be the easiest way, if you buy 1.5 by 1.4 yards of black gabardine (or any fabric you like) in the US and send it to him. If it's not too heavy, postage shouldn't be that much. Because I spoke to many fabric suppliers in the US (looking for a medium gray cavalry twill or wool elastique), I know, that many of them have a poly-wool gabardine. (The weak Dollar would make the 45 EUR for my material even more expensive. In case of the grey elastique: I posted a pic of the elastique he uses on the uniforms. Feel free to contact me, if there are more questions. Does anybody know, who won the Picard Commando Uniform Lot on ebay for 3650 USD ? I was bidding on that, as well.. But you know.... threethousandsixhundredfifty....
