Just an update: I have confirmed that Kerezman has indeed processed my refund. I'm disappointed that I did not get a costume, and that it took me months and a great deal of effort to get my refund, but I'm glad my own case is finally resolved.

A brief update. Today my credit card statement covering the period of November 30 to December 29, 2007 arrived, and the initial refund of $100 that Kerezman claimed to have processed on December 3 was not on it. Why am I not surprised.

I also heard from a Belgian woman who ordered a "V" costume and helmet from Kerezman in July 2006, got the costume a year after ordering it, and is still waiting for the helmet, more than a year and a half later. I wrote to Kerezman on her...

I don't have the same type of relationship with SD that I do with Joe and would not presume to tell SD how they need to run thier business. Joe told me that he had just finished sending out a bunch of refundsbut never specifically mentioned to me WHO they were sent to. I didn't even ask Joe about this situation. He just happened to mention that he had just sent out some refunds and I was curious to see if his was included in there.

Thanks, Peter. I really hope Joseph succeeds in doing just that. It's obvious that he has something valuable to offer, but just hasn't been doing it properly.

I am glad to hear that he is irnoning out things with you. You should however be able to call a toll free number for your credit card company to get an immediate update regarding credits to your account if you don't want to wait until February. I in way ever assumed you were in an angry tirade as I have had my own "fristrating" experiences with Joe myself. It was one of these experiences that led to our friendship actually.

Hi, Peter. I was going to wait to confirm the refund before posting an update here. Yes, I got an e-mail from Joseph and another saying a credit had been applied to my credit card. I added the new information to the page I made. I won't be able to confirm that the first promised refund of $100 actually came through until I see my next credit card statement, which should arrive sometime this week. I was talking to Joe k YESTERDAY AND HE MENTIONED THAT HE HAS BEEN BED RIDDEN FOR TWO OR THREE WEEKS AND HE WAS JUST ABLE TO GET UP AND ABOUT A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. hE SAID THE FIRST THING HE DID WAS TO REFUND MANY ORDERS HE WASN'T ABLE TO COMPLETE. Was one of them yours Matt?

Thanks to everyone for the responses and advice. And apologies for cluttering the board(s) with a message that was clearly redundant here. Everyone else seems more familiar with Kerezman's business than I am. I mentioned in my last post that I ordered patterns, pips, and a comm badge from Roddenberry.com? Well, they arrived today. In Japan. I can't imagine how they could do that in just three days, unless Roddenberry.com has a real-life transporter.

I'll give my 2 cents.

You will never receive a refund...If anything you might get the uniform you requested in a year...I do have to say that 10 years of knowing Joe and his practices, you've taken it farther than anyone...Even the person that was going to hire a Private Detective to shadow him..

Again as I stated in our e-mails, his eBay is good...and like you said..it's patches and braid mostly..not hard to pull from the shelf...

Never any hard feelings from me. I just like things to be clear. You'll find that most of the well known Trek costumers out there are members or even moderators (or admin like me) and I don't know of one that isn't willing to help in any way they can. Bad experiences with costumers is what prompted many of us to do what we do. While it wasn't a bad experience per sey that prompted me to get into this business, it was more like the cost of getting a beautiful uniform....

You all seem to know this individual, so my story is going to come as no surprise to you.
14 weeks, soon to be 15, on custom FC uniform which his website says would be ready in 6-12 weeks. Even by the 12 week average, he's still late. I suppose one week is early and 24 weeks the latest, which would average 13 weeks. Or perhaps it's 5 weeks early and 20 weeks late? At any rate, we are rapidly approaching both and I've heard nothing from this guy. I didn't even ask for an update until...
