First contact or Nem jumpsuit....

Been a while since I hace been here. Wondering if there are any costume makers that do the First contact jumpsuit? Tried to get the Cosplaying company to do a jump suit, but they either ignore me or tell me that they can make the jaket in any color I want. Communication problems I think.

So... anything new out there? It is always the costumes that I want that seem to be hard to find.

Hi, everybody. After months of research I almost resigned. But I found a big german fabric-factory, that has a wool-elastique / Cavalry-twill in 55% Poly, 45 % & high-quality wool. I sent them pictures and a piece of the original fabric I had and they special dyed the fabric, so it's like a 100% replica. The color, the 'ribs' are as close to the original, I have ever seen. The color is of a solid, strong, dark-side-of-a-medium cool/steel grey. Look here. They charged me 45 EUR...

Hi, folks. After I've been ripped off by a british fabrics seller, who sent me a swatch of their mid-grey cavalry-twill / woll-elastique, but snet 10 yards of a stinky, old, serge fabric, I've discovered a fabric, that comes pretty close. Even the medium dark-grey color matches the original pretty well. But it's pricey. Not as pricey as those bespoke suit tailors, but a yard cost 60 EUR.

What do you think ??

Alright maybe this is answered elsewhere? Sorry if it is. I am looking to get one of the First Contact Jumpsuits. Any suggestions on who makes a decent one? One with the loops for the phaser and tricorder holsters? I was thinking of Shadowdale, but they seem to be gone. Any help here would be great folks. Just finished up my boomerang phaser... so now excited about costuming.

Converting DS9/Voyager uniform to Nemesis

I recently bought this uniform pattern - http://www.intergalactict...oduct.cfm?pid=STPT0814/E - as I was told that it can be used to make a Nemesis era unifrom (with some conversions) - I also couldnt find a straight Nemesis pattern.

Could someone point me the right way to conversion directions?

Also... i would rather have a shirt and pants than the whole jumpsuit.

After weeks and months of research, I found a company in England, that would make a yoke-fabric (wool Elastique) to the exact same specifications as the screen-used one. A heavy-weight cool-grey or steel-grey Cavalry twill, and they will NOT require an amount of 500 yards or so (as most companies do). After a long and costful research in the US, UK, Hong Kong and Germany I finally found a almost dead-on Elastique fabric. Medium grey, 45 % wool, 55 % Trevira (a fine Polyester).
Quite heavy, a little over 500 g, that's 18oz.
The facory is located somewhere in southern Germany. Puuhhh... That was really time-intensive.

Price is 54.00 EUR per yard.

What do you think ? Tony ? Peter ? Commadorable ?

I contacted ISW in Los Angeles, Ca. I was asking for a small probe of the mid-grey Cavalry Twill (or elastisque) that Bob Blackman purchased years and years ago when he wanted to make the First-Contact-Uniforms. Even though I read somewhere, that allegedly they don't have it anymore, I thought to get something very close to the screen-used fabric. (I know that the fabric changed over the years of production, but the color was quite constant.)

Bad Imitations

Before I purchased my Uniform Jacket, I really played with the thought of purchasing one of those bad imitations. Glad I didn't.
Can you guys believe that people spend money on such inaccurate Uniforms ? I know, they are cheap, but when I look at some of them, your money might be better spent if you flush it down the toilet, isn't it ?

The tailor, Mr. Ossowski, got back to me with the prices.

A First-Contact/Nemesis Jacket is 260 EUR. (At this price the jacket has a lining. He can make it without for a little less, but I don't recommend ordering a jacket WITHOUT lining).

A complete FC/Nem Coverall is 340 EUR.

A pair of black pants is 80 EUR....

After a little research, I heard from many sources, that -along with other manufacturers- they mainly used Florsheim for the series. I found now the perfect boot, but it's discontinued :-( . Yep, they unfortunately don't make them anymore. The "Hugo" Tony recommended looks good, (and best of all: is available), but the "Normandy" style was more spot-on.
I could swear, that was the model they used for close-up shots..

Hi. This is my first post and I have to say, that this is a great site !

After I've bought a ST:FC Jacket & Divisionshirt from SDC (paid: April 2007, received April 2008) and it did not fit, I ordered a ST:FC Jacket from a SF-Tailor, who lives, like me, in Germany. It took me a long time to get the black Gabardine stuff, just like the ones from the screen-used Uniforms. Look at these pics and tell me, what you think, okay ?

I've been lurking for a while, and this is my first post, so here goes........
I know most people steer away from the Chinese sellers on ebay due to the lack of quality or attention to detail. They recently put up a Sisko uniform that was horrid. The top yoke was pretty much a solid purple. I sent them some suggestions and they listened. Here's the new suit. Honestly, it's not too bad, IMHO, but I'm no expert.

Anyone know where to get the holsters for the boomerang phaser and the mark IX tricorder? I know the phaser can be had at roddenberry.com, but I can't find the tricorder anywhere.
I prefer it with the military clips as opposed to velcro. Any ideas on shoes for this costume?

I was wondering if anyone can tell me( or has pics) how to do the trim around the neck and shoulders of the yoke for the Nemesis uniform and the trim on the zipper of the Division shirt? I'm hoping to make one for the Vegas convention. Thank you to anyone who can help.
