Now as I understand it the production uniforms
were either a full jumpsuit with a hidden zipper OR a two piece without a zipper used for the scenes of "wow it's hot out" or "what a day".
I'm iffy on a jumpsuit and prefer the two piece for various reasons; ease of wear and I can remove the jacket if "it's hot out", etc.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out here concerning an issue with the sleeve/armhole seam. The sleevecap seems to be much much smaller than the actual armhole. Now I understand some patterns have a larger sleevecap and smaller armhole so you can ease in the sleeve, but this seems to be the total opposite. Am I just nuts and reading the pattern the wrong way? Does this inconsistency actually exist? If so should i correct the sleevecap or correct the armhole. The pattern Im using was created by Joseph Kerezman (aka JK Costuming), if thatll help you as far as what pattern Im attempting (I hope the following will make sense to you). I have finished step 6 in the instructions Take center backs (I) and sew them together along center seam. Fold under fold area and stitch or fuse under.

I'm attempting to sew the Kira Uniform and am following the vague pattern directions ok, but am stuck with the fancy seam on the chest. Does anyone know what kind of seam that is?
